Find Your Way Back to Your Authentic Self

Online therapy across New York for adults who feel stuck, disconnected, or weighed down by anxiety, trauma, and the painful experiences they’ve carried for too long.

Together, we’ll gently uncover what’s been hidden, reconnect with the parts of you that still need care, and help your light rise again.

How I Can Help

Hi, I’m Caren Jacobs

I love working with teens and young adults on the very important pursuit of finding, accepting, and embracing their authentic self.

I’m a Huntington, New York-based psychotherapist, working via telehealth throughout New York State.

My role is to help you reconnect with the parts of yourself that may have been lost through difficult life experiences. I take a creative, eclectic, yet evidence-based approach to help you heal and grow so that your life can feel more purposeful and aligned.

Why Clients Connect With Me

I talk like a real person

You won’t find a cold or distant approach here. Therapy should feel like a genuine connection, not a one-sided conversation. I care deeply about what you’re going through and show up in a way that feels human, present, and engaged.

We’ll explore your creative side

I often incorporate creative expression into the process, if you’re open to it. Creative outlets can help access emotions and insights that words alone sometimes can’t reach.

I’ll keep you safe

I offer a space of safety and non-judgment. Sharing your inner world is not something I take lightly, and I work to create an environment where you feel comfortable being fully yourself.

“Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?”

My Story

When I was 13, I found the courage to tell my parents that something didn’t feel right within me.

From the outside, everything seemed fine. I had friends and was doing well in school. But internally, I knew something was off.

I remember walking into my first therapy session unsure of what to expect and afraid of being judged. Instead, I found connection, understanding, and a space where I could be fully myself.

That experience shaped me. It helped me understand the value of having someone truly see and hear you without judgment.

It ultimately led me to become a psychotherapist.
